Sorry for the lack of updates!

I have been very busy lately, ending my work contract last week, catching up with old friends this week and I will be starting school next week! ok. Not a big deal. But I am exhausted.

I havent been making cards and drawing lately... but most probably I will be doing it real soon...maybe in two weeks to three weeks' time? By then, I think my new blog shop will be settled.

Another shaker card! It has been a white since I last made shaker cards, and I just done it last week for Jer who will be leaving for China for holiday and it was her last day at IBN yesterday. Gonna miss her loads =(

I also made a card for my mentor but I havent got the chance to snap a pic of it as I totally forgotten to take a snap shot! Manz. It was also his last day ytd, and it's kind of sad to have both of them leaving. Gonna be my turn to leave in a few weeks' time =(

Now, another thing that has been bothering me, while I tried to keep up a cheerful side of myself at work. It has been pretty upsetting for me and yet I cant seem to figure out how to keep myself from been upset due to some issues at home. Hmmm. I don't want to think about it.

And i realize that I havent got the time to make cards for myself anymore. It takes the pleasure out of it I guess and I have been getting design block and I am really frustrated. All artists who experience that must know how I feel. I feel sianz, and resort to buying more stamps.

Maybe I should learn to stop spending on art stuffs unnecessarily.

I made more cards this week. I still have much to go, mostly due today but I just can't think of anymore designs for masculine cards. Any inspirations?

The butterfly and the border are all embossed with blue embossing powder. The sentiment is also embossed using white embossing powder.

I know i have been adding butterfly images or embellishment to my cards lately. I just couldn't help it. ^^

I've been wanting to buy digital craft cutter as i was so tired of having to cut here and there with dissatisfying results, especially when I so dearly want to cut out alphabets and flowers and borders, etc. But it is so freaking expesive here...the last time I check, it is over $600. *jaws dropped*

I made this quite a while back after i bought this paper from jurong point (the background). The pattern is beautiful isn't it?

I did made more cards than this but it is not right to show it here before I gave to the people I made for. It might spoil any surprise if they happen to chance upon here.

I got to get back to work now. Urgh.

Something to share:

"Funeral" is a new TV commerical launched by the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS) which looks at relationships in a different light, through a woman at her husband's funeral. Ultimately, the TVC celebrates the beautiful imperfections that make a relationship perfect. This is fresh off MCYS latest Viewers' Choice 2008 win for last year's Family TVC which promotes the importance and value of family bonding. (With Chinese subtitles.)

Been listening to Kim Kyung Rok's songs and he's has an awesome voice! I found him when I was watching Danyunghaiji, a korean variety show...you should go look it up in youtube.

Danyunghaji is a really hailarious show which always brightened me up and make me laughed. That was when I saw Kyung Rok singing to Chae Yeon and he really has a beautiful vocal!

I have made another card today. This time round, it is accompanied by a video. I did show it to my mum the card and she thinks that it has too much ribbon.

Personally, I do feel it look a little "busy". But I just love the purple ribbon that I just leave it as it is. So to those who hate ribbons which I know some of you do...just leave the ribbon out .

I actually thought of making a male thank you card due to some reasons, but I just really couldn't think of one....I am really a noob at making male cards as I just cant seem to stop myself from adding flowers, and ribbons, and shakers...the list goes on!

BECME - Thanks So Much

Another card I made for my uncle's birthday, which is today actually.

So I am a day late. Reason why is because I just knew it this morning when conversing with my aunt, and she suddenly told me:"Today is san jiu jiu's birthday."

I was like...OH! And from there, she started telling me when is who and who birthday while i began scribbling furiously on my calender to take note.

Not my area of specialty for making masculine card, but I tried to avoid putting some flowers and such, which i am VERY tempted to.!

And ended up with this:

And I am back to the world of books after dying of thirst for books for so long!

I just went back to my nearby local libary to borrow books after like dunno how many weeks! And now, I feel a sense of something (I dunno how to put it...but its a happy feeling, no doubt!)

I am a NERD.

I made this shaker card just yesterday when my eyes were threatening to close. It took me nearly 2 to 3 weeks to think and made. Yea. I know it is simple, but I kind of satisfied with it, and given that I actually redo the card 4 times!

Why?

 Because it is for a good friend who made me a paper plane, and it is really very very well made, including the star war figurine...completely made of paper. So I just want to make something for him in return for his birthday. And oops! I am really late!

Now this card is on its way to solvakia!

You know something?

I spent over $100 without realizing it yesterday while shopping at Art Friend, and I only bought a few freakin' stamps! Im so sotong lah.... =X

And I know you guys must be thinking, how can you not know it?

I just pick and choose the wooden stamps, where there's isnt any price attached to it, and so I just pick afew of them ( I am lazy to take pictures of them now...will post the pictures next time...if i bother to!)..and they are really adorable..especially one of them where there's a birthday party image.

And then bought few essential things like glue dots, UHU glue and punch.

And I passed everything to my sister so that she can go help me queue up and pay using my nets, while I went to look around to see if I miss out anything.

A few minutes later, my sister came to tell me in a shocked face: " Esther...you just spent 90 over dollars!"

And I was like.....O.O

And my mum was there shaking her head and asking me..." How come so few stamps can become $90 plus?!

I just shrugged. And then she asked again," Do you know how much it is at first?"

I told her no, and she looked at me in disblief. I just show her my teeth (means I smile lah...then what else can I do? Brawl my eyes out?)

And the woman at the cashier still can ask me..." You want to spend $8 more to reach $100?"

I was like...WTF?

Then she continued," Well, if you spent $100 in a single receipt, you get a free membership card for two years."

So since I spent a freakin' huge amount, i just went ahead and splurge $8 more.

And before that, I already splurge more than $40 at popular, buying stacks of papers.

And now, I spent more $$$ buying holder to put all my papers.

Schhhheeezzz.

Thank goodness I am earning back the $$$ this week from my earnings.

Or I will be seriously broke. I already planning to spent over $200 to buy some art supplies online from USA , and ship over here.

I should supress my urge to spend $$$.. !

but still, I totally in love with the stamps I bought yesterday. So adorable.

And my favourite piece which i mentioned is the one with a birthday party image...you want to guess how much it is?

It is ONLY SGD$20.00.

The most expensive item I bought.

That's what shocked my sis and my mum the most...and me as well.

One stamp costing $20.00?!

Kaoz.

But thinking back, I find it funny when my sister told me after she saw the amount.

SIS : "You know when she scanned the first stamp, it is $10. Then she scanned the second one, it is $14, then the third one is $ 20 !!!!! This is CRAZY! How come a small block of wood be $20?!"

And then she looked at me...and said : " YOU ARE CRAZY!"
